dramaticfuckery: I am hesitant to say that I enjoy Terry Richardson's work, but there are obviously a lot of shoots and editorials that he has done that I do like. I have always been under the impression that the people that he works with a lot, like say our fav Chloe Sevigny, either don't know or don't care about the accusations made against him. Which sucks. I mean i'm sure the industry knows about his reputation but they continue to work with and use him.
The first time I really noticed his work was for Sisley’s farm campaign in 2001. I remember thinking it was the most vile thing I had ever seen, and I was shocked that images so degrading would be used in a major campaign.
I begrudgingly started to appreciate his photography after I saw Coco Rocha’s 2007 Vogue Paris spread. It’s so beautiful and shocking and weird, it kind of opened my mind a bit.
Still, I don’t look at the Terry Richardson tag on Tumblr if I’m eating a sandwich or something, because the likelihood of a gross out is high.
Regarding our boo Chloe, I think she might have a higher-than-normal douchebag tolerance.

Sisley’s ads are always border on disgusting. I guess they have to make up for how basic their clothes are. There was a shoot with I think it was Natalia Vodianova, not done by Richardson, that I didn’t reblog b/c it came off like date rape.
